Yes, the self made, burning political “controversy” that’s sucking the air out of our future.

You know something just as important as our democracy being overthrown….a private conversation from 2 years ago that just “came up”.

The thing, among many, that disturbs me about this is that it was manufactured for purely political purposes while we’re slouching toward Bethlehem/Russia. It’s a craven political scratch and sniff designed for tweets and outrage and news coverage.

It’s sucking the oxygen out of the the real conversation while Rome burning is sucking the rest.

Can you smell the smoke?

Can you breathe?

Elizabeth Warren planned this to “take on Bernie” and score points in the debate. She even had a sassy tag line all planned when it inevitably came up.

And they’re the front runners?

They are the hope we have to take the country back?

Why now? Can she not smell the smoke?

I mean, I get wanting to be President…but at the rate we’re going she might be President of USistan.

Besides, a woman won the last election…. it’s a worthy conversation, but not when it’s used as a weapon.

This is petty at the moment. It is….I don’t care what Bernie Sanders said to Elizabeth Warren. I don’t care. I don’t care about the umbrage, the fight, or the zingers.

That’s a parallel conversation that we don’t have the luxury to breathe oxygen into at the moment.

I question her, the Democratic Party and anyone who wants to climb down a 2 year old rabbit hole while we need to focus everything we have on fighting for our democracy.

We’re bungling this. We’re dropping the ball, and once again chasing our tails. We’re on our high road cell phones while walking onto a freeway with an 18 wheeler barreling down at 90mph.
